My students and I want to thank Mario VanderMeulen (Mario's Country Crafts) and his dad for pulling out many Ash trees from our habitat (fallen due to natural causes) to make almost 70 boards so that this spring we can continue our boardwalk.
We would also like to thank the Knights of Columbus, Good Shepherd Council for their generous donation of $500. This allowed us to buy mulch, flowers, vegetables, paint, and lumber for boardwalk and new signs.
Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our Annual Habitat Cleanup Day that was scheduled for Saturday, May 16th had to be canceled. This year only Dave and I worked on our habitat. I want to thank Dave (my husband) for helping me maintain and improve our habitat. As well as helping me plant our community garden and adding 36 feet of new boardwalk.
